The camera I was after from the auction was this - an Edixa Reflex-B. The top of the prism housing is dented, and the prism is chipped. I'll have a look among my spare prisms, to see if I have one which will fit. The shutter needs an overhaul - the second curtain does not close. The camera has a collectible lens - a Kilfitt Makro Kilar 4cm f2.8. Also in the lot were a King Regula Cita III, a Frankamatic, and a Minolta Maxxum XTsi with two zoom lenses. Just to add to the excitement, a friend gave me a heap of stuff from an aged aunt's place, that they were clearing. Amongst the electronic junk, most of which I binned, were two film cameras. A Canon EOS 500N, with two zoom lenses, and a Taron Eyemax.

Congratulations, John on your newly arrived purchases. Great to see an Edixa Reflex B added to your Praktica collection, hopefully it would be up and running soon.

There isn't a replacement prism among my spares, but the camera is usable with the chipped one. I've downloaded what service information there is for Edixas. The shutter blinds are ok, but the camera needs cleaned out and relubricated. I found that the long zoom lens that came with the Minolta is badly fungused. The short zoom on the camera is fine, though.

The Edixa prism is interchangeable, so I guess there's hope of finding a spare. Some nice 1960ish cameras there the Taron looks pretty wacky!

I had a quick look on eyouknowwhere for Edixa prisms. They all seem to be in Germany and prices start at "Bugger me!"and go up... sorry, but you ain't having mine! If I had a spare I'd happily offer, but I don't.
