I’m back home from respite and still not reading anything is that some form of protest...? I’ve got two weeks of magazines to catch up on and the books can wait until I am ready

He doesn't get Playboy for the articles? I know a lady who did! I once got caught, in my early teens, engrossed by a copy of Playboy, in the newagents. Well, it had this great 32 page Harley-Davidson catalogue in the middle.
Another time, I got a copy to read on the train to somewhere or other, a longish journey. And a young nun sat in the seat opposite me.
Sometimes you just can't win!

The nun arm wrestled you and having whipped your ass pinched your mag?

I struggled to the end of the Rimmingtom book. I'm nothing but dogged!
The plot gets signalled chapters before it happens and is pretty obvious. The book ends 'suddenly' with a minor villain in jail, the heroine dead and major villains left at a loose end.
I don't recommend it.
