No, not our Kate (though they seem to use the same camera), but royal Kate.
However, there seems to be a beginner's problem with the picture. Can anyone else see it, or just me - because it's the sort of thing I'd do?

I think I've got it, Steve. She inadvertently captured an upper-class twit in the frame.

It really must just be me.
The thing that stood out for me is the background. All the books/articles I've read say that when photographing a person, check the background. So that you don't have a tree growing out of the person's head or, as in this case, a half hidden lump of light coloured masonry behind her. It would only take a couple of paces to one side to give a solid and OOF green background.
Well, that's my opinion.
Oh yeah, and she could have straightened her verticals. Though she wouldn't have needed to...

Want better photography? Perhaps if one of the younger royals married a photographer, though like divorced American's that did not work out too well last time.

I don't mind that it is an environmental portrait rather than a portrait.

You can hardly see the eyes, it's as if she's squinting to avoid the sun blinding her. The subject is upright (is she a Subject any more??) rather than the masonry, and yes a few steps to one side would have meant that her head/hair all had a green background. The grass also needs mowing/clearing to remove the leaves/daisies/whatever

I'm a bit late to this one, but for me it's the hand resting on the trug. Although it is out of focus, it looks too large. Actually having the forward hand OOF and the rear hand in focus looks a bit odd. I think if she was going to use the trug as an accessory, it should be in focus too. If she had taken a step or two to the right and used a narrower aperture, that would have sorted the issue.

I suspect that it was only published because of the subject and the photographer. However, it does look like a picture that might be used to sell dentures or implants. By coincidence, this morning I listened to a favourite CD from 1997 featuring Fascinating Aida, in which the subject of this picture is referred to 'Camilla Park and Ride'. A reminder of how long she has been working to achieve her current position in which almost any half-decent picture is of interest to her fans.
