Just a quick update. The printed manual for the G100 turned up today. There's quite a lot of it! Quick pic with G100 itself for comparison.

Whatever happened to "open the back, pop the film in, close the back, set the iso and away you go" ?

Whatever happened to "open the back, pop the film in, close the back, set the iso and away you go" ? Shouldn't that be 'whatever happened to "open the back, realise there's still a finished film in it, close it again, rewind, reopen, pop the new film in, fight the with the film leader until it finally takes on the spool properly, close the back, forget to set the iso and get lots of bad exposures"' - or was that just me...

Shouldn't that be 'whatever happened to "open the back, realise there's still a finished film in it, Two films at once? I could never afford that much film. Not at the price of Kodachrome. close it again, rewind, reopen, pop the new film in, fight the with the film leader until it finally takes on the spool properly, close the back, forget to set the iso and get lots of bad exposures"' - or was that just me... I had a Pentax MX - the loading system was dead easy. On purpose, I think...

Better off using 110 or 126 cartridges

Better off using 110 or 126 cartridges It is the problem that did not exist that Kodak Advantix tried to fix, as by that time most snap shot cameras were almost completely auto loading with conventional 35mm films.

Can't say I've ever had real issues loading film, from the 1930s Brownie through to 1990s Nikon.
