I once looked slightly down at a Hercules pilot.
Which considering I was in the first floor science prep room was a bit worrying.
The lab tech was only worried because he was wobbling like fun as he came in on his practice bomb run.

They were sometimes used to drop loads on sleds without suportive parachutes very close to the ground.

Port Stanley was bombed by an Argentinean Hercules. They rolled the bombs out of the back like cargo.

Port Stanley was bombed by an Argentinean Hercules. They rolled the bombs out of the back like cargo. When it was us Brits turn we used Harriers (and Squaddies on the ground) to lob laser guided bombs over the mountain. Pin point accuracy on the second run. On the first run the Squaddy/Squaddys forgot to switch off the laser designator until the bombs were on a downward tragectory. Accuracy and breaking radio silence to let on how it was achieved (and how repeatable it was) was credited with forcing the Argentinian surrender.
