You may be bored to tears with all my medical problems (I know I am) but tonight I give you the greatest of them all....
Spike (my grandson) phones up, can I cook him some tea..at 10.30pm...course I can, slap in a chicken burger type thing then get some frozen veg to accompany. Drawer flies out of the freezer, pick the drawer up and stand up, forgotten my vision is slightly off at present ( see eye surgery mentioned elsewhere) ouch I caught the top of my head on the oven door and felt a warmth spreading down.
Sadly I've had a couple of beers, otherwise Mrs S would have me in A & E...personally a nursing home looks the best bet..

Ouch indeed. I hope you are keeping an eye on yourself today? Or Mrs Spinno is? I wouldn't necessarily worry too much about blood - head injuries do bleed a lot and it isn't necessarily as sign that you're on your way out. But do please watch for signs of concussion.

Fine today, drops in eyes ok (Mrs S hates fiddling about with eyes) been for a walk now watching and listening to a spectacular thunderstorm.

Mum hit her head last year. Didn't go to hospital for days until I found out about it. Brain bleed nearly cost her life.

Jasmine was doing a gymnastics competition and is now at a&e with SWMBO for a suspected concussion. Estimated 4 hour wait to be seen.

Hope she -ahem- bounces back to good health They are back home now and seem OK. Hospital didn't scan her due to her age and not wanting to expose her to radiation. Hopefully fine in a couple of days. There is a video of the crash landing but my request to put it on youtube was declined. Lassies eh  . |
