Yesterday my D-in-Law had her phone stolen in London. She was advised to report it on-line.
Here's a copy /paste of lines from the Met website. The second line follows the first so what you see below is exactly what someone looking at the website will see. We don't have a crime number, apparently that 'may' come. For reasons I won't go into she needs a working phone very quickly so we are a bit worried that the 'delay' from the police will delay the insurance. Again the phone needs to be an Apple (to communicate freely with someone abroad) so purchasing a very cheap phone won't work.
