This evening I was wandering around in very pleasant part of Wales, the low sunlight looked wonderful on the green hills so as you would expect I took some photographs. I imagined that what I could see on the phone would be rendered as great landscapes but no all I have is photographs of hills, trees, a blue sky even some nice light but they are not landscapes. I would like to see some alternative landscapes this month, so something to make me feel better about not been able to see a traditional landscape.
Colour, texture, intentional camera movement, table top models, abstracts, urban landscapes but not 'street', go with Van Gogh not Turner.
This is one of the few landscapes that I am happy with.
Taken almost fifteen years ago and I still like it.

I've no idea of what a traditional landscape photograph is supposed to comprise. Given the opportunity I often take pictures of hills, grass, blue skies and include water where I can. I just hit my Flickr with a search on "landscape" and I didn't recognise this. Apparently it was taken near to Beddgelert but I don't recall. Whether it is traditional or not I don't know. Nice topic, I've got plenty of non-golden hour, non-lone tree type pictures to inspire me.

A couple of shots of the Mill Pond in evening light. The dark foreboding clouds warn of the rain storm to come

I'm still struggling with the what is a traditional landscape (to be avoided) and what an alternative landscape might be. I don't chase sunrise (too early) / sunset (rather have dinner) or tripod holes. The latter involves finding out what other people consider a good landscape and copying. I take pictures as I walk and I don't like towns much or taking pictures of people [unless they really won't get out of the way] so countryside or gardens forms most of what I record and, when asked, I've always considered myself a landscape photographer and by that means, dodged any other label. Maybe "outdoor" photographer would be an improvement but I don't know. If I stick to Dartmoor then that that isn't mega landscape country being generally small hills (tors) rather than mountains.
