And was it comparable?

Yes - apart from not having to focus or check exposure.

Glad to hear that. I don't get the mindset that blindly states that film and digital are always wildly different experiences. It comes down in large part to how you set up and use your kit. For example, nobody needs to chimp just because you can, you can set a fixed ISO, you can use manual lenses, etc. I find the two work together nicely and are absolutely not poles apart.

I leave the back screen on the 60d folded in, and I have turned off all the AF points except for the one in the centre of the field. I use auto ISO, auto exposure and auto focus. I have M42 to EF adaptors, but I don't use the old lenses - the 60d is an APS-C sensor camera.

Those cars by the pavement look as if they have merged. Look so odd.

I also like the results but I'm not sure if I understand how the lens make the experience comparable to using film? (For example I have a full frame DSLR and a 35mm SLR and the lenses I have fit both. So presumably all my lenses are givng me the same experience no matter which camera I use? Or aren't they?)
