Pink Floyd 'The Wall' at eleven - all seven thousand watts of it! The windows are shaking, the amps are smoking and I don't need to light the fire. If you ever get a chance to see Roger Waters perform The Wall live, it is a fantastic show, one of the best gigs I have been to. I hope he does tour it again at some point. I make do with 14 Watts per channel and never get anywhere remotely near 11.

Miles Davis - Kind of Blue. Great music but mixed by an idiot who was too stupid to appreciate the importance of bass and precussion. CD re-issue so cannot opine on orriginal.

Radio 4 about the storm surge, flood and loss of life in January 1953 (end of). Programme is an account of what happened in SE England. I actually remember the storm. I was 6 years old and terrified. The livingroom window cracked when something hit it. My mum was blown down the road when she tried to get to the local shop. I screamed blue murder for them not to put the fire on as I had just lost a school mate to a house fire. I still feel scared of howling fires. In Fyvie castle grounds nearby, almost all the trees were blown down, leaving only saplings standing. A horrid time indeed. www.forestry-memories.org.uk/search/

Having one of my periodic revelations that everything my parents ever told me was wrong - hence. The Sessions musicians were Fairport Convention.

I started to watch Black Widow on TV last night (before realising I had already seen it). This song was on the opening credits. The original is good, but this cover is really good.
The next song to play on the film (before we turned it off when we definitely realised we had seen it) was American Pie by Don McLean, so I'm currently playing that album. Memories of youth and a couple of joints!

Nick Cave playing the album “Push The Sky Away” live on its release back in 2013. He has just released a link to watch the video for free for its 10th anniversary, so technically I’m watching it I guess.
Got it playing on my TV with Airplay. Looks and sounds great.

My wife is out at work. I was given instruction that I had to clean upstairs. too afraid to defy her, that is what I have been doing and REM blasting out whilst I did so. Played Automatic For The People album to start with then random songs.
And as the last one above features Patti Smith I thought I'd listen to her version of Everybody Hurts.
And for no other reason than I love this song and video by Puscifer.
And as my wife hates this track I can play it loud without pissing her off

I like the original Roy Harper version of "Another Day" but have always loved this version by This Mortal coil.
Listening to that on Youtube took me to this Kate Bush and Peter Gabriel version which I haven't heard before.
