A long shot, but dans , on the same thread on the old forum you mentioned a female singer and I commented I really liked her. In the back of my mind the word “pirate” may have featured in a song or album. Or maybe not, lol. She had a beautiful voice. Ring any bells of who I may be talking about? |

Did the album Pirate's Gospel. I think she has some new stuff out, but I haven't listened to it. I saw her play live a few years ago at the Bush Hall, really good. |

I watched Gabriels on BBC's coverage of Glastonbury, I must say it was one fine performance, great sound and great band. They are playing this weekend at a festival near Brighton, but work commitments have prevented me from going, so gutted!

Been listening a lot to June Tabor lately. She may well be my favourite singer. I walked into HMV in Oxford once and this was playing. Marched up to the till, said "What the flip is that?!", and left with a copy. Fastest sale they ever made. |
