A rather obscured Gatekeeper DSCF0009.jpg by Pete, on Flickr and a feeding Peacock DSCF0026.jpg by Pete, on Flickr DSCF0030.jpg by Pete, on Flickr I didn't notice the dead leaf at the time - it was such a surprise to find a butterfly. Should have taken the Canon - the minimum focussing distance with the Fuji 100-400 is too long.

Dragonfly I.D. please. Probably a Brown Hawker, but my books say the eyes are the wrong colour. Norfolk Hawker, but improbable due to it being seen at Weymouth in Dorset. mickNorfolk Hawker Maybe by Martin Bone, on Flickr

3 small white. I guess they are drinking from the damp rock to get salts and minerals.

They have been reported before in your neck of the woods and they are endangered. A good spot and a good pic - wish it was mine.
Mick PS It appears to be a female.

Almost nothing moving today, you'd think that all wildlife had left. A distant speckled wood DSCF0016.jpg by Pete, on Flickr an even more distant common darter (female). I saw the movement as she landed but she was very well concealed. DSCF0009.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

The only common darter I've seen was Eric Bristow...
(Sorry if I've done that one before)

Female garden spider (Araneus diadematus), if you didn't know already. 49 minute video about them:
