As an old fart(expendable?) I went for my anti covid spring booster. It seems sensible. I am in a vulnerable group and significant numbers of people are dying in hospital with covid (albeit not because of covid but with it). The only vaccine on offer was VIDPREVTYN BETA. As a public spirited citizen, well past the three score and ten best before date, I accepted the vaccine. Was this the right thing to do on two counts. One take part in an implied study by accepting a beta vaccine. Two for my own benefit.

You'd better watch out for the side effects. It's a French company and one of the side effects is to make you pro-Europe. If French phrases start passing your lips (apart from the wine), you are halfway there!
Seriously though folks, it is apparently a wide ranging vaccine covering many known and perhaps unknown variants of CV19. You might end up the only one still around in future.

I have just realised that the BETA in VIDPREVTYN BETA refers to a strain of Covid. I thought earlier that it was a Beta test vaccine.

The offer of a first or second dose of COVID-19 vaccine will end on 30 June 2023 for most people.
