So having told myself I wouldn't be buying any more cameras for a while, obviously I've bought another one.
Can't be too cross with myself, because it's one I've wanted for ages, am astonished I have never owned before, and is cheap, to boot. A Vest Pocket Kodak. A Vest Pocket Autographic Kodak, to be precise, complete with stylus and case. Very cute.
And it came with something else - the real surprise. Inside was an exposed roll of Verichrome Pan. I'll have to have a dev day.

I'll take some tomorrow, been stuck sorting out tomato plants this afternoon. Think I've grown too many...

It's not an awful lot bigger than a Minox 35, and feels very solid. Shutter release didn't work when I got it, as the lever had somehow been pushed below the actuator, but a bit of brute force and ignorance fixed that, to give a very nice functioning Kodak ball bearing shutter - I'm very fond of these, despite their paucity of settings.
I've obviously got the cheap meniscus lens, but cute the whole package is. And feels really very good for a cheap century old folder. Not looking forward to loading it - it loads like an old Leica, through the bottom. But in every other way, it's an instant favourite.

Is the lever below the lens for focus?

Is the lever below the lens for focus? Oddly enough, no, it's the aperture lever, despite the descriptions. It's fixed focus. And probably unsharp at any distance...
