I've been trying to get into Woking for some weeks, frustrated by train strikes and replacement buses instead of trains.... it should be a simple 11 minute journey from my nearest mainline station. Anyway I finally made it there today, by car as it happens as I had to visit somewhere close by so decided to carry on.
Sad to report that Harpers of Woking has closed for good, almost a year ago too, from a quick "google search". According to Google Timeline, it's about 2 and a half years since I last was there (blame Boris for that, with his travel restrictions and actions that resulted in so many shops closing permanently).
Whatever, it's sad that another bricks-and-mortar retailer has gone
