I went to Duxford today, and while looking for 'alone' shots I got this one.

Thanks Peter, I knew I'd get something nice in that spot, but then I got lucky 😊

I like that a lot. Worryingly, I'd probably have guessed it was DX if you hadn't told me, spent rather a lot of time there in my youth.

The litter bin. Now I've seen it, I can't unsee it.

The litter bin. Now I've seen it, I can't unsee it. Yeah, I know there is a thing about bins in photos, I was unsure whether to have it in or not, but I wanted to link it in with the exit thing, a bit morbid though perhaps.

Sadly, just visiting - we lived right at the point (Cornish Hall End - the sort of place you only go if you are going there or lost) where anything flying into Duxford had to go under the route into Stansted - so we had Spitfires going right to left, and Belslows and Britannnias rolling in straight over. Dad turned 10 in 1940, so had watched the Battle of Britain overhead - and seen the filming of the movie too - so I was never not going to be plane mad*. But the only time I've ever flown from Duxford was a 20-minute flip in a Tiger Moth 12 hyears ago.
*shut up you lot

Being pedantic... Yes, the verticals are vertical, but the horizontal is annoyingly off. Should be easy enough to warp it. Do that, crop tighter, and I think it's a better shot. For me the exit sign is too far away and awkwardly placed.

For me the exit sign is too far away and awkwardly placed. There are probably regulations regarding where it has to be......

The litter bin. Now I've seen it, I can't unsee it. Oh b****r. Why did you draw our attention. I can't unsee it now and it spoils a very good shot.

Like that. I would crop some of the LHS off, not just because of the bin but IMO would be better taking off the end 2 o3 vertical things anyway.

More time this morning so more obviously what I meant! However, judging by the intense interest maybe I needn't have bothered
