The last photo I had printed was this shot of my father in the 1970s. We had a large canvas made for his 80th birthday back in August. Attachment Deleted

My old man was the poster-boy for ICI 'Millstem' seed dressing. The photo itself was one of a number taken by ICI's promotionial department. The photos are stamped on the back with ICI's address and phone number. Imperial Chemical House, SW1. No street name, no mention of Millbank or London. The phone number was Victoria 4444.

That explains many things! Reminds me a lot of the farmer down the road when oi were a lad (his wife was my sister's godmother).

Magic! Any chance you could post those individually with a title - remind me of what I'm missing being out here instead of my 'alma mater', the South-west?

Thanks for posting those individually. Exquisite creatures, beautifully shown! Out here if I see three in a year then it's a good year! Still, if there were any more around then the local 'hunters' would probably shoot them - they've shot just about every other flying species around - or trapped them with mist nets or lime sticks.

Printed this yesterday to give to our next door neighbour. Heron and Crows IMG_0714HCedit by Keith Hudson, on Flickr The story is: Late November I get a phone call from next door, I knew she was about to go into hospital for a knee operation in the next week or so and sort of panicked was she ok, what had happened? She was fine but had seen a 'Pelican getting attacked by crows' was I at home and could I take some pictures? Now we don't have pelicans in SE London but we do have Herons. It was getting dark and the pictures were nothing special but I posted a few on FB and she was happy. Move on to yesterday and I am doing some archiving including the heron pictures, seeing them again I thought high contrast pseudo Japanese art. The above is what I came up with so I ran off a couple of 7.5 x 5 inch prints on A4 and took one around for her. She was over the moon with it instructing her husband on exactly which frame he should put it in, well worth a couple of sheets of paper. Brilliant shot, I bet it looks great printed!

I was a bit worried that at 120x80 cm would have been a bit big. It is big, no doubt about it, but it looks fantastic in this size and format. Untitled by Nigel G, on Flickr That looks great on the wall Nige

How do most of you do your printing, is it on a home printer or an online printing company?

These are just a few I had printed recently central kiosk 15x10 inches by Dan, on Flickr shelter 15x10 inches by Dan, on Flickr sea view 15x10 inches by Dan, on Flickr candy corner 15x10 inches by Dan, on Flickr I was asked to contribute some images to an exhibition entitled 'Coast' at a local gallery. So I took these especially for the exhibition during the winter. I had a narrative in my head of a winter seaside that no-one gets to see as most people only visit during the summer, so the intention was show a seaside that lets itself go, that when no-one is around can take off its clown's mask and become its true self, a twist on the 'a tree falling in a empty forest' conundrum.
