Fold made me think of sheep, this is my only photograph of a sheep. I've spent the last two hours looking [unsuccessfully] for a photo of a sheep-fold. I MUST improve my labelling. I'm beginning to think that the place I remember is recorded on film not digital. Somewhere I have scans of slides I took around the village when I was growing up, several of them show fold or stock yards of farms that have long since become housing estates. The scans are all in folders on the office PC but un tagged and ordered only by how I found them in random slide boxes when we cleared the house in Yorkshire. |

Slight digression. Search threw up scaf fold.
Here is a [fairly] close up of scaffolding used on a building I worked on. It is in Brussels. We are on the third floor. Scaffold is suspended from hangars on the top of the building (four storey building). No scaffolding clamps are used - the whole being tied together with rope. Seeing as the majority of visitors to the building worked in HSE this was a revelation of some concern. Efforts were made to have the work stopped but failed - rented premises and the building owners were the responsible party.
