Adrian, thank you for organising a great day wandering around Oxford in the sunshine, your local knowledge is very impressive, or did you make up all the little details? It was good to meetup with Martin, Jules, Nigel, Chris and Adrian + Mrs. Adrian. Thank you, Keith, I enjoyed it myself, and got to some parts of Oxford I haven't been to myself in years. It was good to meet you and Nige for the first time, and the others again. Hopefully most of the stuff I spotted was accurate, I've just been about here for a while, like history, and have a brain like a sponge for random crap.

Did anyone remember to take pictures? Why would we want to do that? Keith and I's are all on film, but the others certainly took a few. I did the best part of a roll of film in the Aria which I will finish this afternoon and about forty phone pics.

Thanks to Adrian for 'organising' [sic] things and for a fine demonstration of why you shouldn't attempt leg spin with a loose sarsen cobble in the street. It was great to put faces to names. I was pleasantly surprised by Nige, for a northerner he was quite tolerable .

At least there were no broken windows, A&E visits or a criminal investigation, so all is well.

You can take the boy out of the country, but you can't take the country out of the boy. I took 28 photos, 10 of which were of this duck and butterfly. The other 18 photos were crap. I just don't have an eye for urban photography and I'm too self conscious to do 'street'. I'm surprised Christ Church college allow hybrid riff-raff in their garden. hybrid duck by Martin Bone, on Flickr female brimstone by Martin Bone, on Flickr
