Indeed, for some it would seem teenage infatuations have no upper age limit. Though I for one have been very well behaved.

Indeed, for some it would seem teenage infatuations have no upper age limit. Though I for one have been very well behaved. I would have guessed that to be true. Anyway, you've shown this old lady it's not just the female of the species who can love more than one and/or more than once. I've always been told I'm strange thinking monogamy is not a natural human trait. Blame my philosophical brain.

Seeing the postings so far makes me wonder if women are so different from men. I am genuinely interested and curious. How many times have you been in love? Not family love now. For me, it is three times. I can remember half a dozen that I seriously fancied & thought I would have been happy living with, but Jess is the only woman I'd struggle to live without. For a theme entitled 'Dearest' I was expecting to see favourite cars & camera bodies galore As the only flying B17 in europe the Sally B must be pretty dear too! Like he said, I was thinking favourites, most valued, etc., not lovers. But always interesting to see what people choose.

peterob Oops! Perhaps you could delete your post? That will tidy things up. Ha! OK - done! Eventually found the delete. Had to go upstairs and turn the computer on to edit it - on a tablet it is impossible to correct (by editing) a quoted post containing something big like an image because the edit box won't scroll

Motorbikes and Jack Daniels! That shot brings back some very pleasant memories for me! Close on thirty years ago, when I was visiting Huntsville Alabama on business, over the weekend I drove (by car) over to the nearest BMW motorcycle shop and bought a lot of BMW kit that wasn't available in Cyprus where my bikes were. There was a young lady in the shop who was also a BMW rider, who was somewhat intrigued by the gay abandon with which I was parting with the green. She started a conversation, and subsequently invited me over to a sort of wooden hutted village a BMW biker group had built in a local wooded area. Booze was drunk, a BBQ was had, and all agreed that to drive back to my hotel would be unwise, so I stayed the night. The next day a set of leathers was found (put on over a pair of my new lady friend's tights 'cos it was cold), a spare BMW Boxer found (lots of bikes laying around, all in excellent nick), and off we went to Lynchburg Tennessee to tour the Jack Daniels distillery. It was a very pleasantly memorable weekend, not the least because Lynchburg is actually in a 'dry' county. After the distillery tour our guide gave each of us a small bottle of JD in a brown paper bag, and advised us to cross the town square to a café which would sell us a coke or branch water to go with it - but at our own risk!
