I liked the thread in our old home where folk could post their experimental type of shots, so let's try and get it going again. Post your weird and wacky stuff/don't fit anywhere else sort of thing.

To kick off, this was a bunch of tulips in a vase, where a couple at the front are starting to droop. I used the portrait setting on my iPhone, which can be set to different effects, and the aperture can also be altered in edit. I also bunged a large black border around it in PS. It is by no means perfect, quite noisy as the room is fairly dark and the lighter mantlepiece is still visible, but I quite like it. Three from a bunch by Nigel G, on Flickr

I've got quite a few shots that should fit well here (I'm always trying to come up with experimental subjects for a weekly photo workshop) Here's one combining a CPL with polarised lighting: acrylic stress by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr

More arty bollocks. I do quite like the effect though when the phone is on this stage light portrait mode(plus a little more editing) Again, not perfect, but I like the disconnect between each flower head and the odd bits of green thrown in and even the flower facing the wrong way. The flowers were as they were. Flowers by Nigel G, on Flickr

I rather like that too mind you I've always had a soft spot for hellebores.

I rather like that too mind you I've always had a soft spot for hellebores. Is that what they are called? By the fact that I have just called them flowers probably hints that that is about as far as my knowledge goes.
