I got it years ago, but it had the devil of a learning curve, and was difficult to master, and in the end I went back to Lightroom and Photoshop. However, I missed the quality of the Capture One de-mosaicking engine - apparently they wrote the original software for the Sony Alpha cameras, and have subsequently improved on the handling of ARW files. Until later versions of C1, the best raw converter was the Sony software, but now C1 definitely leads the pack compared with both the Sony s/w, Lightroom and Photoshop. I have just got back into working with it, and am building up all my main catalogs as I have them in Lightroom, and the quality difference is small, but quite observable.
I am debating whether to make it my main processing tool or not, so it would be useful to converse with other C1 users.
So... Is there anybody out there? C1 users, that is, not reclusives hiding behind a wall!

No, sorry. I had an early “lite” version but got fed up with it quite quickly. It seems very favourite on Fuji-X forum where there are many adobe-phobics, mainly through allegedly better treatment of x-trans raw files. Expensive compared with adobe is my impression.

Thanks for that. It is certainly a difficult piece of software to get into, but the image quality (for Sony, at least) is the best there is, and it is also very nice having both cataloging and image manipulation in the same package. I have just bought a Kindle book on Component One, and hope this will help me get into it better this time around. Fingers crossed!

Back at the start of my DSLR life, I used C1 Pro, but when RawShooter came out, I found the Pro version of that much better - and vastly easier - for my Canon files, and so I've not used C1 now for many years. Can't see myself using it again, TBH.

I don't have capture 1 Pro, but I do have capture 1 Express [for Sony] - which is a stripped-down version with limited features, and functionality, but with the 'regular' (I presume) Raw processing engine. However, I agree that its Raw conversion is excellent, and is, IMO, superior to the others you mention. I've been using it in preference to other software, for the conversion of .ARW files.
Even the Express version is not the most intuitive software to learn, and I can imagine that the full version would be considerably more difficult to master. IMO, it (or, the Express version, at least) is worth that effort.

I started out with Express for Sony When I realised that the Lightroom treatment of raw files was not as good as the Sony package that came with the camera. I liked it, so upgraded to the Pro version. I continued to v.12, but declined to go the leap to 20 - the next level.

Since you have a 'full' version - which (IIRC) handles files from any brand of camera - I thought I'd ask whether you have any experience regarding its capabilities for converting files from other cameras? The Express version has, of course, only ever enabled me to convert ARW files, but I might consider upgrading, if capture one Pro works equally well on an assortment of Raw file types.

Although it's the Pro version, it's Pro for Sony only. Incidentally, they stopped all Express and Pro versions for single camera lines at the beginning of this year. They have also started a leased version just this month, along the lines of Adobe. I'm sticking with what I have - I see no compelling reason to upgrade, as the changes are mostly to new supported cameras and lenses, with some new 'Expert Styles Collections' - whatever they may be.

"It is better to light a candle than curse the darkness" - so I just bought a book on Capture One! When I have read it, I shall proclaim myself the forum expert on all things Capture One - not difficult as it looks like I am the only one using it!
