The hand gesture for phone is still going strong as far as I'm aware - saw one of my students using it just recently. It's also still the sign for a phone in BSL. The one that does seem to be on its way out (thank goodenss) is that nasty sign where you pretend you're signing a cheque when you want the wait staff to bring you the bill. I thought a click of the fingers whilst looking down ones nose was the appropriate signage Making a sprint for the door works pretty well, too.  |
