Got a usogood TC50 trailcam for Christmas so I could see what prowls round my garden adter dark. Buggered if I can get it working! As far as I can tell, everything has been set up by the book, but it shows no sign of the IR sensors working (you are supposed to see a red light when they detect movement) or of taking a photo.
Had anyone else got one working and, if so any bright ideas?

I see you mentioned batteries elsewhere, but has it perhaps got a power saving thing where it has a light sensor and only activates below a certain level?

I got one as a birthday present last year, a Ceyomur C95. Fortunately, mine worked from the outset, and has both an internal battery with solar charging, and 4 x AAs. Hence I can’t offer any thoughts on what to look for.
Main cons of it are the micro SD card, and using the app on a mobile is a bit challenging for my ancient eyesight. I must pop the app on my iPad to make it easier to interrogate.
Nothing of interest had shown up for weeks until the other day when a good sized fox wandered through the garden.

No light level sensor that we can find, it tgakes colour video in daylight (probably mostly of crapping cats...). Removing and replacing the batteries seems to have got a reaction, as we found 30 photos of us staring at it wondering if it was working - still no sign of the red light to tell you its working! It's out in the garden at the mo, and it did click as I was setting it up, so we shall see... Frustrating that follwoing the instructions results in nothing!

I have 3 set up around my house. The house obviously alarmed also has its own cctv looking out, the trail cameras are there to look on. All three are battery operated. Guessing all three will be flat (haven’t checked them since last September) The problem I have is the motion sensors triggering the camera needlessly regardless of my attempts to turn down the sensitivity. But by and large I think they are fine. Never realised just how many foxes, hedgehogs and bloody cats pass through each night.
