Started watching Ludwig. I'm not convinced that David Mitchell shouldn't give up acting. He's really not very good. Much funnier on panel shows than in a scripted drama. Perhaps he should stick to writing. Also started watching The Company You Keep on Netflix. It's okay. It occurs to me that not drinking any more has made me much more critical of TV programmes than I used to be. Half a bottle of wine in and I'd happily sit and watch any old rot. Not so much now. I gave on Ludwig up after a short time. I thought he was better in the comedy series about shakespeare - The Upstart Crow I think.

The final of the British Open on ITV3 - Selby vs Higgins. And I wish the latter would step up a gear - don't want to disgrace the family name.

I have also been watching Who Do You Think You Are? on BBC iPlayer. I like that programme, possibly because as an adoptee, I'm intrigued by the idea of having a family history. That said, I don't think any further celebrities are going to top the Josh Widdecombe episode, which, if you haven't seen it, was a cracker with revelation after revelation. I've seen all of them except the last episode of the latest series which I'm probably not going to bother with because the celebrity in question drives me nuts every time she speaks.
