I have been enjoying the Sound of Freedom on Sky Arts on Freeview and The U.S. and the Holocaust on BBC Four by the great Ken Burns. Also the Twilight Zone on Legend.

Star Trek.
Got through the original series and next generation without feeling I'd seen any of the episodes before but I'm sure I must have seen at least some of them back when they were on TV. The characters were all familiar but not the story lines.
Onto deep space nine now.

Watched the series "The Rig" on Amazon. They could have filmed a decomposing turd over 6 episodes. It would have saved them some cash. The acting would have been better too.

Been watching "The Recruit" on Netflix. So far (5/8 episodes watched), a fair bit better than the reviews had me expecting - some deft touches.

I've just started watching Kaleidoscope on Netflix. Apparently, not everyone sees all the episodes in the same order but it still makes sense. I'm reserving judgement. I didn't hate it but I'm also quite happy to wait until my youngest is back on Sunday night to watch the next episode so it hasn't grabbed me exactly. Maybe another episode in will do the trick.
Also, because I'm a masochist, I'm watching The Apprentice again. I don't really know why because I do nothing but moan about it all the way through.

I watched the last episode and nearly exploded when these "high flying superbrains " couldn't do simple arithmetic and got their order for ingredients wrong. They recognised that they were struggling and still didn't use their fancy phones (which I assume have a calculator function).
If I were Alan Sugar I would have fired them all. Invest £250k in them when they can't count!!! I suppose that there wouldn't be much of a series if he did fire them all.
Then SWMBO was watching Phantom of the Opera on Sky Arts last night. I had to leave the room. How such dross could be so popular and make so much money I don't understand.

I wouldn't want to work with any of them! I now need to watch the 3rd and final series of Sky Rojo on Netflix. It's a Spanish language show but it was quite enjoyable. |

Certainly I quite enjoyed Kaleidoscope, some episodes more than others, though. Nothing on earth could make me watch The Apprentice ever again. Life's too short to be that angry all the time.  |
