^^^^^^ Kate just made me hungry. Now wondering if the white pudding is the milk version of black pudding that I am used to or something else because I don't think the one I know would go well with a cheese sauce. I was puzzled over that since I've never heard of it being offered in this way. The old way was to add it to a stew or minced beef as a filler. It is oatmeal and onions in a sausage shape. Yes oatmeal or bread crumbs in a sausage skin with milk instead of blood.
The pie is basically black pudding en croute, the white sauce is white pudding - de skinned, with grated horse radish on top. Now I am very hungry.

Sounds good, although perhaps a bit too heavy on the black pudding for me.
I prefer the Spanish black pudding, morcilla, over ours.
That looks like a lot of horseradish!

Ha! I still prefer the English black pudding to our Island Charlie Barley (butcher fame) one which is oatmeal based without the chunks of suet.

I think pig-based is nicer than lamb-based. I used to like pigs liver, but I can't remember the last time I saw it here. Never, probably.

It's a fruity pudding - white pudding with raisins in it. It goes very well with crispy bacon. The only problem with it is that it falls apart on the plate so got to scoop it up rather than cut it.

One of my mates is notorious for not taking any toiletries with him on trips away and using everyone else's. One time we filled an empty Colgate tube with wasabi paste, just for him. Apparently the toothpaste had quite a zing.
