I was thinking about this the other day. What are things that you have witnessed that made you wish you had a camera to photograph?
Mine was a Fata Morgana I saw of ship just offshore. It looked like there was one floating above it. I had no camera or phone with me at the time. I doubt I will see one like it again. This was in Scotland. AMAZING š

Mine are usually street scenes
I saw homeless person sat on the floor the street name above home read Rich Street
Another
A young child on a run down estate was furiously āplayingā the game sonic the hedgehog on a street poster bollard. He was hitting his fists on the image of the game console fully imagining he was playing the game. Would have made a epic picture
A work colleague, a much loved character. I wanted to take a candid shot as I knew he was retiring soon and didnāt want a posed picture. I set my phone camera ready and walked round to where he was working - welding in his bay. As I approached he was just removing his shield, I pulled my phone out, raised to take the pictureā¦. Just as the bosses entered the building so quickly walked past and thought Iād try later. Sadly he died that same week. A wonderful man, who I miss a great deal. He was such a character.

My father worked in Fleet Street, and in 1978 or 1979 I was in London for the day and at lunchtime he took me to a small pub near his office. Sitting alone at the next table was Orson Welles, presumably waiting for somebody to bring his drink from the bar.

Way too many to list...
Most recent would've been early Saturday morning as we were driving to Abbotsbury Plains to take the dogs for a walk. We just turned onto Bishop's Road going past "Valley of the Stones" and there, sitting on a fencepost was the most beautiful Common Buzzard.
We were about 20ft away from it. Fantastic background, great light... and no camera!
What was worse, on the way back home we saw two more - one on another fence post and the other on a stunted tree.
