I like really those Steve, great mono shots that work well with the subject.

I like the back rest but something odd going on with the seat.

I like the back rest but something odd going on with the seat. In what respect? If you follow the left shadow down from the back rest on to the seat, most obvious where the shadow turns right to meet up with the diagonal shadow, I can see vertical rows of black or white pixels in the shadow detail.
I just followed the link to Flickr and they are there too so perhaps re sizing in Flickr? The were sufficiently obvious for me to try cleaning non existent smears from my Mac Book screen. Love the picture though and except that they are probably not on the original as and when you were working on it.

Ah! That will be the pattern on the base of the seat - it has a sort of 'ribbed' effect across it. You can see it better in this wider shot that I snapped first before processing the black and white:

The effect was very similar to that given by a wet EOS5D, don't ask.

it has a sort of 'ribbed' effect across it. That for extra pleasure?

It's not often that I take pics with b&w in mind but for some reason seeing these, I kind of knew that had to be b&w especially the tree Feel I should give credit to "Polo" the graffiti artist who created the nun. He's a very talented guy who creates interesting art

Colour is usually very much the appeal of street art but in this case black and white really works - well spotted.

First proper run through a black and white film digitising with my digital camera and a Pixl-latr film holder. The focus was just slightly off but ok for small screen size images. Haven't bothered getting levels/curves just right or taking the dust off these as I'll redo them in due course, but here are a couple of quick 'n' dirty "scans" from my roll of Delta 400, shot with the Pentax K2 and 35/2 in Kyoto.

These show a nice bit of 'tooth'..... the first one, especially. [we need a thumbs-up symbol ]
