Thanks both, I had forgotten the details. I imagine that it would have been very difficult to prove that the original had been copied rather than that accused had created it without ever seeing the original, had he/she not admitted to seeing it. The thing is that not many ideas are unique. In theory if you can think of something then so can someone else. Newton wasn’t the only person to come up with calculus.
The idea of trademarking a commonly used words worries me, RED for example but there are others.
Apparently imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Seems the author of the original work wanted to be flattered with money.

I should be pissed off as yesterday's rain has done for todays cricket. However its also let me get a shedload done in the garden and on the allotment and, had I been playing, I'd have missed the Lancaster roaring over nice and low.

This was on a fairly busy path in Roslin Glen so he made lots of people laugh and smile until a tourist lady took pity on him and lifted an end over.

I finally re-hung the bathroom mirror!
I got it ages ago and it was a perfectly nice black framed mirror where the frame had a rather nice pattern printed on it but because it was all black the details didn't show so a while back in a moment of lunacy (I hoped it would work) I took it off the wall laid the frame out on a big sheet of corrugated cardboard and spray painted it with a dark copper spray paint.
As I hoped the copper picked out the details and it looked great (this led to my enthusiasm for copper spray paints, I've got two more cans and am wondering about the front of the fridge/freezer...)
But when I came to rehang it I just couldn't get the loops lined up again at the back
So tonight I wrapped about 60 feet of jewellery cord between both of the loops on the back I was worried it is a bit thin and the last thing I want is another 7 years bad luck! Then slotted the loops over the nails that hold it on the wall because the cord is elastic I could pull it over the loops then it recoiled and put the mirror in place
It's not quite straight (Well it is but only because one edge is resting on a book) but I'm pleased with the result and can sort the fine details out later

Managed a win today. OK it was against Leicester and they got 3 back (Including a dodgy penalty), but a win is a win, and 3 points.
Now awaiting the inevitable snarky comments.

Gentlemen who hire workshops in our of the way places. No, nothing like that. We were talking a circuitous route home from Crocodiles of the World (somewhere we've been meaning to go for years simply because it's such an off the wall thing to find in the depths of rural Oxfordshire) when SWMBOs car started making a horrid metallic noise. The second car to stop while we were looking at our was one of said gentlemen who had a workshop literally 100 yards up the hill!
On taking the caliper off two stones dropped out and the wheel stopped grinding, immediate issue solved. Still need a trip to the garage as the top mount of the suspension strut is loose, but we got home - despite the efforts of a couple of eejits who really should know by now when not to overtake...

Crazy day, what with 14 goals in 2 games. Hope you stay up, there have been some real positives from your lot this term. Also genuinely surprised Watford managed a top-half finish, pipping 11th place on goal difference. At the start of the season I would not have expected anything less than play-offs, but it's been a poor poor season.

Thanks Zou. Sitting 10th and with 48 points we're safe and have Mitrovic back for the last three games. Pity we went into meltdown at Man U.
