My brain MRI results are back. Apparently I do have one and there is nothing wrong with it, although some may disagree. I'm still suffering from the random smells though, but at least it is unlikely to be a brain issue and is probably a result of Covid, as they thought.
Also had my blood test results (cholesterol, diabetes, liver, kidney and thyroid) following my last AF episode and they are all normal too. Just hope my cardiogram in April is OK. There was a slight thing with my aorta last time, so they want to check nothing has changed.

Coincidentally, I spoke to a friend today, who, last year, when I told him I had AF, said he was having palpitations too. I told him to go to the doctors. He found out yesterday, following a scan, that he has an unstable blockage in one of his blood vessels and they have also found a hole in his heart. He is now finding out what the next steps are.

It really was so reassuring, though, as at the time, I was convinced what I had had to be a brain tumour. Well you do always think the worst when they schedule these things...

Brain tumour was also my worry mainly because my dad died of a brain tumour as did his brother. I have been assured that it is not an hereditary thing, but.....

I had a brain scan in 1983, they found nothing. Never had to have another one, but not sure they'd find anything there anyway.

Possibly a RTBC
I've been offered a job! A temp for a couple of weeks whilst they sort my onboarding out then straight to perm. It's reasonably local as in my current job is well over an hour each way and this would be 40 minutes each way tops
The original suggestion was as a temp they'd pay me £14 an hour but once I got permanent the wage would go up, I told the agency that I couldn't drop £2.53 an hour especially as I am still sorting out debts from being out of work for a couple of weeks and will have to get through the first month once I go permanent . Agency went back to client and client came back and agreed to give me £16 an hour, well that suggests they're very keen on me for a start
Seen my JD (I applied for one job but the job they want me for isn't the same one) it includes taking photographs for a start nothing I can post on here (I'll be working in a local children's hospice and the photos will be part of a childs medical record) but good chance to work on my portrait skills I suppose
Now just waiting to get it confirmed what my salary will be once they switch me to permanent and then if that's acceptable I will start on the 3rd
If not my bank job is going to last until mid May at least and although it's a pain commute wise the people are nice etc
I had an interview for a very long term temp job Wednesday as well. Mostly working from home and despite the fact I had to do the interview in the loo (the only place where I can get a stable connection for Teams) it might lead to something
And next Thursday I have an interview for a 6-month contract that pays serious money/is a decent commute/ will be WFH for 2-3 days a week
It's nice to have options all of a sudden
