I was in a room on my own Classic defence...any witnesses... Of course. The camera in the room, discreetly hidden to catch people snoozing.

Someone has promised me a little something... Quite a large something, it turns out! (waits for the usual suspects to take that and run with it) A Nikon F50, two lenses, and five rolls of 35mm B&W! I think I might be shooting a lot of 35mm B&W this winter...
Thank you very much indeed!

I became a member of the aristocracy when I wore top hat and tails for my brother's wedding. A perfect application of Kemi's Law of social mobility.

Hmm, RTBC is my wife willingly purchased a very expensive bag of coffee today. Happy that it sets a precedent I will aim to follow, but worried that her tastes have become more expensive...

Well, that was a jolly interesting evening.
The plan was to go to a networking event in Oxford by bike. I went on this early enough to have an amble and take some photos. In acheiving this I was amused to note a Nikon F50 in the window of LCE. I also ran into Nas, who was toting a TLR with a reflex housing, and we chatted for a few minutes before he headed off chasing the fading light.
I managed to finish the films in both the Nikon F3 and the Voigtlander Vito, and dropped the latter one off in Snappy Snaps, wondering when the flip I'd be in town next.
The first person I saw at the networking event was Thiru, who I knew from uni 34 years ago! Then I ran into my neighbour from the allotments (who was wearing a name badge, serving me the embarrassment of asking someone I've known to talk to for 12 years their name!), and while I was chatting to him a recruiter I had a Teams call with about 3 weeks ago walked by and said hello!
At the end Thiru said lets get some food and catch up, so we had a meal out, I got a lift home from him. So tomorrow I need to retrieve the bike from town. Not such a problem as I was going halfway anyway tomorrow to do the mowing on the allotment, though I might get a bit damp if the forecast is anything to go by.
If you've read this far and are now wondering what the hell the point of that lot was... join the club!

Fecking arsebiscuits!
Left the car near the allotments. Mowed the allotments. Walked into Oxford from the allotments. Collected bike & cycled home. Wondered why car wasn't on drive...

Rang the receptionist to arrange a flu vaccine.
"Do you want an early appt?"
"I'm retired, I don't do early."
Collapse of receptionist into fit of giggles.

Let me guess - the mower is in the car? I mowed the grass paths at our allotments today. It is a push of between 1 and 1.5 miles depending on how long and how dry the grass is and how wide a cut can be taken.

No, I left the mower out there with another member ofthe mower team, who will return it to it's rightful storage place. Sadly some cnut stole it's predecessor.
It's just the car that's still there. SWMBO picks her new car up in about 25 mins, so we'll go and pick mine up then, save me a further walk/cycle! IT's a fair old walk from WOlvercote into central Oxford, especially when you've already done what I suspect is at least a mile doing the lotties.
