I saw these sheep huddled against a wall in shelter of wind and rain as I was driving passed. I stopped and took a photo from over the wall. I think they were a bit surprised to see me. WTF you looking at? by Nigel G, on Flickr

I think it's the 'where's the food' look. For the last 16 years I have lived somewhere with sheep grazing fields on three sides of the house (the quietest neighbours I've ever had), and had time to see some of their habits. For example, if I go out to the wheelie bin carrying a large white plastic bag I am spotted by the lookouts because when the farmer brings food it always comes in a big white bag, and for a moment they think I have food for them too. In a few weeks time the peace and quiet will be shattered by the bleat of hungry lambs - this is a shot taken from an upstairs window on the 1st of April a few years ago. Attachment Deleted

Reminds me of a trip to the Yorkshire Dales a couple of years back - or three as it would have been pre covid. The sheep looked as if they were posing for a cheesy family photo! If we're going to anthropomorphise them, I reckon they're saying "Well we know what we're doing here but you sir...."
