If you look into the distance, on the right, you'll see that the grass really is greener.

It was new to me. Went there once and I doubt I'll go again.

For me, even though it is a photo of a photo, this is pastures new. My first foray into mirrorless. Add to that, it's a cheap Chinese manual DX lense. Using focus peaking (totally new to me). And I love it - it challenges me. And of course, it involves one of my beloved Westies (Shadow, gone these last 3 years). Nikon Zfc, 7Atrisans 50mm f/0.95, ISO 800, 1/80" handheld, aperture somewhere close to 0.95, varied artificial light (mostly LED, but a few different colours - hey, it is Christmas). I miss her!

I went to Malta and Vienna for the first times this year but I have chosen the Welsh countryside as my pastures new. Much as I loved the two holiday locations my photography there was much like that in Spain or Greece the short stay in Wales was something new, I even attempted a landscape of two. St. Garmon Llanarmon IMG_9944edit by Keith Hudson, on Flickr This is the only one I am even slightly happy with, probably because it has a building.

Nice and easy to judge this as we didn't have many entries. There was lots to like though. Purely because it had both physical and metaphorical pastures new this month's winner is zx9 and his church in amongst the pasture. Well done Keith, if you'd like to start the January theme in the exhibition forum and one of us will move it here.

Thank you Martin, that I did not expect as it was a late post to make up the numbers.
I will post in the exhibition forum this afternoon.
Thanks again and Happy New Year to Ssc and all who sail in her.
