I took this on a coach trip to Southwold-- not my 'style' of photo for Club Comps usually BUT maybe a little like a 'Martin Parr' and HE does OK out of his snaps ! I call it 'Life's Little Scenarios' --- maybe its' just a 'Busy Pic' that a Club Judge would say SUFFOLK Dunwich and Southwold 10 by Peter Elgar, on Flickr

Has the loud garish colour of a Martin Parr but lakes the 'in-yer-face' composition that he seems to favour...

I like it a lot but I don't think it's particularly Martin Parr. HIs composition is much tighter than this and I can imagine that he'd have concentrated his efforts on the couple having their photo taken on the right. You can just imagine him crouching behind them to get their rear views in all their glory. Difficult to control a scene with so much going on but I'm a tad distracted by the man sticking out of the top of the umbrella, and there's something very bright and white on the railing, left hand side. Not sure if it's someone's towel or if there's a leg involved but it has taken up too much headspace for my liking. There's also an optical illusion of a slope because of the way the jetty/pier/walkway thing looks to slope as it reaches the left hand side. I suspect the water is level and it's just an illusion but it is bothering me. Generally though I like how much there is going on here and I love the holdiay postcard colours.

I agree with what has been said already. It has the colour of Parr, but needs a tighter composition. I think the shot would probably have been the people pos8ng for the photo behind the wind breaker.

This is more natural than a Martin Parr shot. Parr beach shots are posed and highly organised. In my not humble opinion I prefer yours.

I like it, but I agree that the group on the right having their photo taken is the shot, although that would have needed more space to the right. It fits the title though of life's little scenarios and there's warm feeling about the scene. The sort of thing you may have found on an old jigsaw!
