I think I might have posted this last time we had a theme like this (2022 maybe). Back in 2016 we had come across a small forestry commission car park and gone for a walk. Following what seemed initially to be a well worn path it gradually disappeared and eventually we turned around as stepping through the bracken and brambles was getting too much like hard work. I've been trying to figure out where it was since I found the photo again in 2022. Best guess is Denham Bridge, south of Tavistock, Devon. 274A1039.jpg by Pete, on Flickr Edit: possibly the same path 274A1035.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

I thought that I'd have lots of pictures of bark peeling - but a look yesterday didn't find any. This morning I repurposed a picture of the woodpecker's nest from 2023. It was in a Eucalyptus tree and these shed bark in long peels. Unfortunately the bark wasn't the interest at the time but this shows some. DSCF4123-Enhanced-NR.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

Just starting to peel by SteveH, on Flickr Minimalist or what? I did think of calling it Etude in Off-White, but thought that would be going a bit too arty-farty...

Birch bark is very prone to peeling, so here's one from today's walk
