Welcome to the world of neoliberal capitalism. We have that here, too - beggars, people sleeping in shop doorways, tents on the embankment at the Oval (yes, we have one here). Trickle down doesn't work.

Here's hoping they don't get moved on. I've been noticing more and more street design intended to make it difficult for homeless people to find shelter these days.

Here's hoping they don't get moved on. I've been noticing more and more street design intended to make it difficult for homeless people to find shelter these days. Yeah. The area is where a lot of the old warehouses etc are. it is in a generally trendy area but has a lot of old backstreets such as this, so I think for the time being they may be OK. I'll probably be walking by on Friday, so I'll have a look (if I can remember the exact street).
