Can't get Caffenol-C-L right, what am I doing?

Well, the latest roll is hung over the bath right now.

Shot with Nikon F50, in-date Fomapan 100, 60 mins dev in Caffenol-C-L with a brief, gentle, agitation at 30 mins. The density of the negs looks good, even exposure. Some crinkling due to loading woes but thus far they look pretty decent.

The devil, of course, will be in the grain once scanned, hopefully tomorrow.

Just out of interest, what strength caff? I use 1:100

I'm using the recipe you supplied, but the soda is the decahydrate rather than anhydrous so I am using about 3x as much of that (scaled according to formula mass, can't remember numbers off top of head).

Sorry, that should have read "equivalent".

The only other thing I can suggest is to buy some anhydrous from fine chemicals supplier. Always had success with that, last time I tried washing soda, complete disaster.
