Was given one once, but when I found I needed a crane to lift it decided I wasn't going to spend money on a battery. Apart from that, it had more buttons than an Airbus 340. S Not a bad description! I dunno whether it's meant to be like that, or my minces, but having to rely on the focus confirm light because everything in the viewfinder seems a bit soft is odd as well.

Possibly the camera, it is from a time when Olympus made some very suspect cameras like the OM101 and some brilliant but still flawed cameras like the original muj.

Ah, so the mju was a flawed muj...all makes sense now...

I had an earlier Olympus bridge, the AZ4, which had a really funky grip. Not super sharp as you might expect, and the zoom/focus were slow, but I really enjoyed using it. It was my first 'proper' camera, after starting with disc/110/35mm 'focus free' compacts.

Hidden dioptre adjuster? Possibly, or Brain of Britain might be breathing on the vf, done that before... should RTFM next time to make sure.

I also finished the film in this beast today. It's a *film* bridge camera. flic.kr/p/2qeFor9I sold dozens of those cameras and a mate of mine purchased a used one as a "walk around" camera because I had such luck with my PZ-1 and Tamron 28-200 He, later, sold it about 5 or 6 years ago for almost the same price . Cheers, Jack

This dodgy geezer in a boozer gave me a box of knackered old cameras.... Me being me, I'm returning as many to function as I can (a) as a challenge and (b) to see how good they are(n't). I've just developed films from three of them, the first three I've used. Two are still drying as I refixed - note to self, if you don't have enough fixer, rotating the tank on it's side does not do as good a job! The third, however... well, with my skill at finding new ways to sod it up I did just that. I loaded onto the spiral and put into the tank in a changing bag and I reckon that the spiral was not completely to the bottom of the tank so part of the film was above the level of developer. This wouldn't be a problem if I were inverting it every 30 seconds, but this was stand developed in Caffenol-C-L... plus the film is very elderly, and is doing funny things. So I have dodgy film, with a clear stripe down one side, hence the weird cropping on these. So... these are half-frame on 127 in a Ferrania Tanit, stylish but basic.
One day these photographs are going to puzzle historians. Actual photographs. Black and white. Bi-plane. Old cars. But there's a man in a fleece?
