This dodgy geezer in a boozer gave me a box of knackered old cameras.... Me being me, I'm returning as many to function as I can (a) as a challenge and (b) to see how good they are(n't). I've just developed films from three of them, the first three I've used. Two are still drying as I refixed - note to self, if you don't have enough fixer, rotating the tank on it's side does not do as good a job! The third, however... well, with my skill at finding new ways to sod it up I did just that. I loaded onto the spiral and put into the tank in a changing bag and I reckon that the spiral was not completely to the bottom of the tank so part of the film was above the level of developer. This wouldn't be a problem if I were inverting it every 30 seconds, but this was stand developed in Caffenol-C-L... plus the film is very elderly, and is doing funny things. So I have dodgy film, with a clear stripe down one side, hence the weird cropping on these. So... these are half-frame on 127 in a Ferrania Tanit, stylish but basic.

That is a shame, the little bit of film on the edge of the frames that actually got developed fully looks good and well worth trying again.

Was given one once, but when I found I needed a crane to lift it decided I wasn't going to spend money on a battery. Apart from that, it had more buttons than an Airbus 340.
