Our workshop (North Essex Photographic Workshop) has held a couple of very successful wire wool sessions this month. Here are a few of my shots (with last night's aurora vaguely visible in a few) IMGP9832_cr by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr IMGP9828_cr by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr IMGP9821_cr by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr IMGP9902 by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr IMGP9897 by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr IMGP9894 by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr IMGP9889 by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr aIMGP9884 by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr IMGP9876 by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr IMGP9854 by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr

Very cool. I was tucked up in bed long before the aurora so missed it this time.

There I was thinking I was going to see Ron and Russell Mael!
They look great. Where were you?

There I was thinking I was going to see Ron and Russell Mael! They look great. Where were you? Those with reflections were taken at Batesman's tower in Brightlingsea, North Essex, and the others on a track the goes under a railway bridge (we only had to wait for one dog walker). Both are locations we've tried this before, results have gradually improved as our wool swinger gets fresh ideas but still have a large random element. The aurora was just visible at about 7.30 pm so we didn't have to stay up too late.

Thanks, Dan. I've neveractually been to Brightlingsea so no wonder I didn't spot it.
