At this time of the year it's easy to think of things ending, whether it's seasons, the year itself, or how we apply that language to other things. To turn this on its head the theme for this quarter will be "something new". It could be documenting something new (a new cafΓ©, a new puppy etc.) or telling the story of a new hobby taken up, or just experimenting with a new style or technique. I'll leave the brief fairly open. Looking for 3-5 pictures at least, more if you want.

Oooh - excellent! I think I have just the thing! Glad to hear it. I've kind of gone with this as a prompt/kick up the backside to try/do something new.

I don't tend to take photos that deliberately focus on people. There are often people in scenes but I'm not doing the observational thing, they're either there because they're there, or for compositional balance. One of the ideas I'm considering for the challenge is pictures which are more observational, a bit more street photography rather than portraiture. Let's see if that develops.

Well this is so far out of my comfort zone that I don't know how to approach it. The new houses going up provide a daily annoyance but, because I let the hedge grow out I can't see that much. Prepack floor being shifted in. No structural walls in these houses - timber frame and stud-work construction. I have a plan and hopefully something new to embark on the plan very soon. It is a change of direction to something I have been dabbling with.
More will be reviled as and when it comes together.

Nearly half way through and I'm slowly building up the number of photos of people out and about. Will likely get more this weekend.

Ok, I'll admit it I am a photographic butterfly and can't take pictures to a theme for more than one roll of film.

Ok, I'll admit it I am a photographic butterfly and can't take pictures to a theme for more than one roll of film. How about one 1TB memory card? The scans at low resolution were 400mb tif so I lasted for 1.8gb. I will try to pick it up again between second and final fix of the work project that I foolishly got involved with.
