I've been looking through my many pictures looking for something that represents more than one fairground item and without much success. The traditional fair where people gather to trade, compete, be entertained, fed and watered etc. is I guess represented now by the show. I can't find one picture that combines all of the elements of such a gathering. I had to choose between a decapitated horse or a cropped Ferris wheel. I kept the wheel and top of what looks like a Helter-Skelter 274A5802.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

I was going to say, no need for a shutter, just shoot paper negatives and time the exposure with a hat over the lens, then I remembered the f/1.2 and no iris bit of the problem... I have managed to get images from it shooting indoors on direct positive paper (flicking between two dark slides & adding a paper aperture) but exposure is very unpredictable. I guess shooting after dark will be most promising but the very shallow DOF makes subject choice limited, It's a bit of a beast to set up too! Portraits in the dark with a feeble flash should be possible too.
