Coach Trip to Great Yarmouth, NORFOLK, England arriving on a Grey Overcast Day with my 1978 Hasselblad + 2 A12 backs 3 Lenses + Filters + small Flash + Hernia Belt ! Oh well - after a Coffee an Cake in a CHEEEP Cafe I asked the Lady for any Photogenic Places and she recommended the 'Water Gardens' quite a trek but arrived to find some 'water' OK . but the 'Gardens ' were Past It ! I got some swans and took a few Uninteresting B&W on some Old HP5 + which I processed in my HomeMade 510-Pyro and for C41 Colour I had a 2002 dated Fuji NPC 160 rated 100 ASA -- given LOADS of 5-packs 120 size years ago frmo a Studio which went broke but kept in freezer for years . The Whole Town looked very 'Run Down' from its Heyday -- Sad Buildings such as the Former Aquarium which went Broke and is now a Cinema and the Pier showing Personalities who were also Past Their Best -- the Famous DONKEYS were still going though -- Great Yarmouth 01 by Peter Elgar, on Flickr Great Yarmouth 02 by Peter Elgar, on Flickr Great Yarmouth 03 by Peter Elgar, on Flickr Great Yarmouth 13 by Peter Elgar, on Flickr Great Yarmouth 04 by Peter Elgar, on Flickr Great Yarmouth 06 by Peter Elgar, on Flickr Great Yarmouth 07 by Peter Elgar, on Flickr Great Yarmouth 08 by Peter Elgar, on Flickr Great Yarmouth 09 by Peter Elgar, on Flickr Great Yarmouth 10 by Peter Elgar, on Flickr

Great set...sums the place up as per your description. Love the fact that the real Jim Davidson is cheaper to see than the imitation Tina Turner and Michael Jackson...

That brings back memories of my student days in Herne Bay. That was a bit of a dump too.

A good set. Many of our coastal resorts have a tired low rent feel about them, it's part of their character or maybe charm.
