Just checked, we have the pack of chestnuts which I asked to be ordered but was unaware had been delivered. It appears, for some bizarre reason, herself is not fond of chestnuts - duh!

I saw chestnuts in one of the supermarkets ahead of Christmas, but didn't buy them as I thought they were exactly the kind of thing that would get left uneaten. Then, I had the brainwave of using chestnuts to concoct the veggie meal for my daughters. Couldn't remember where on earth I'd seen them so we had to do something else instead. Ah well. At least they didn't go to waste!

I used to incorporate them into turkey stuffing, but now I struggle to use them. I do like chestnuts though! Perhaps I'll stir fry them with fried rice.
