Anything not yet eaten will be as we have a human waste disposal unit (aka me)!
There are a few survivors still. The longest is likely to be the marzipan bars which I bought six of to go in presents, and forgot. They will probably be walking munchies in the Lakes at Eostre.

About the only food waste we generate is apple cores. I'm honestly amazed when I read what the "average" food waste from a British household is. Food is not cheap and to just over-buy "in case" then have to throw it away is IMHO a bit of a scandal

Between me and the cats it all got eaten so nothing went to waste apart from a lump of my neighbors Christmas cake that I'm still not sure what to do with If it's not gone off and is big enough - a fancy bread'n'butter pudding?

Where do you purchase such things? I adore marzipan. In fact, I think I may have bought an extra pack 'for' the Christmas cake which was really for me!

Ooh now that sounds good! Only I ate all our Christmas cake in the end. I wonder if any of the shops have leftovers with yellow stickers on?

Unfortunately for you, off a stand on our local market.

So easy in fact that I am rarely allowed to do so because we’d eat too much.

Oh, I know - I'm a dab hand at whipping one up in the usual manner but hadn't thought to use leftover christmas cake for the purpose. I have used stale hot cross buns before. And my cousin recommende dmaking a savoury version with leftover ham sandwiches from a buffet and putting cheese in liquid bit. Haven't tried it yet but it's on the list!

I make my own marzipan. 225g ground almonds 112g each icing and caster sugar 3 large egg yolks Desert spoon of sherry A few drops almond essence. Put the dry ingredients in a bowl, make a well and add the egg yolks, sherry and almond essence. Kneed together carefully to avoid the heat of your hands causing the oil to come out. Then use as needed.

Try croissant in place of bread.

We have just chucked the last of the wee bag of sprouts in the compost caddy. Unlike Puppys they are just for Christmas.

Two packs of chestnuts. I keep forgetting them.
