I've just read a thread on twitter, which was headed by a picture of a railway line near Christchurch which was damaged in a 7.1 earthquake, in 2010.

A surprising number of internet "experts" assured readers the picture was photoshopped. This was in spite of an article, with more pictures, linked in the twitter post.
