As soon as I said that I didn't have a theme, I realised I did. This is the theme for the 2024 Scottish Mental Heath Arts Festival and I'm going to be working with the Jean's Bothy Photography & Wellbeing Group to produce work to the theme as well as providing a couple of stand alone exhibits that include as many of the Bothy Members as possible.
Some thoughts:
If you take two photographs of the same thing with a span of time between each, sometimes the changes in the scene may be barely visible but they will have happened.
Think of the traces left behind when people move through, life happens, something changes. Something may be visible but perhaps not th thing that caused it.
The people who may as well be invisible even though they are right in front of us - or the people who occupy our spaces when we are not there - cleaners, night drivers, those living on the street. You could photograph a bin that has been emptied. It is visible. When it was emptied and by whom...not so much.
Anyway, over to you all!

Near invisible to the camera but glaringly obvious to the naked eye. A viewing wheel like the London Eye raised in the town centre park. Just to the left of the lamppost on the bridge. DSCF0530.jpg by Pete, on Flickr sun catches it more here DSCF0529.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

This shot always makes me think of leaving these shores behind, sailing off to a brighter somewhere. Who might have left this port over the years and where were they heading. leave these shores behind by Dan, on Flickr
