Chinese New Year Firecracker string.  February 2016.  Really, really, and I mean really,  loud. I was impressed by the safety precautions taken to do this in the town centre.

The public footpath crosses the fairway - but from a hidden dip.   Church Stretton Golf Club, off Long Mynd.  The only flat areas are the tees and the greens.

The plaque says the bell was donated to the golf club in 1986 and the bell casting bears the legend BENBECULA 1944. Presumably from HMS BENBECULA which was active off Stornoway but only in service for 2 years as far as a quick search reveals.

As the hour approaches,  the walkway (an excellent viewpoint) which passes around all four sides of the top of the cathedral tower in Sevilla suddenly becomes very much less crowded, to the short lived enjoyment of tourists.
