A bit late for metal. View from the office/bedroom window this morning. The building work gets closer as they start to scaffold for our new neighbour. It is quite amazing to watch - there is a lot of prefabrication. A crane comes in and the main structure and roof just get lifted into place inside the scaffolding frame. It is very noisy. edit: I suppose I could comment that we feel very much on display - most of the curtains will stay closed while they are clambering about. DSCF0030.jpg by Pete, on Flickr

A couple of displays from past Clacton airshows (Today's displays start in just over 2 hours and go on till 10pm) Flying Fortress - Sally B by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr Red arrows - opposition by Mike Kanssen, on Flickr No Red arrows today (they're in Canada) but we do get the Sally B & a WW1 battle... Update Due to high winds several displays unable to perform - so no WW1 planes but the Sally B did make it. Different lens needed for the evening session
